The E-Verify Program, on which businesses across the country rely to screen employment of illegal aliens expires this Friday, March 6. E-Verify has been in since 1997 by businesses nationwide – but Congress appears to be ‘hoping’ Americans won’t notice that they removed the extension of this regulation from the “Stimulus Plan” and the issue has been ignored and screened out of Mass Media news coverage. Though the House voted to extend this measure for 4 years last November, the Senate dropped that extension down to just 4 months. Clearly this demonstrated advanceplanning. Then the Conference Committee completely removed E-Verify from the Stimulus Plan – while spending a fortune on frivolity!
E-VERIFY, highly recommended, online, by “Smart Business Practice” is supervised by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration. It has been in existence since 1997, used by tens of thousands of employers across the country with millions of inquiries each year.
Ironically the Department of Homeland Security website still is posting E-VERIFY as MANDATORY for Federal contractors and subcontractors as of May 12 2009. New Director, Janet Napolitina, has not even bothered to update her Department’s website to the fact that E-VERIFY HAS JUST BEEN QUIETLY KILLED! The only known criticism of E-VERIFY (by Socialist groups, of course) is that the system is not perfect because sometimes the Data Base makes an error, so that is unfair.
How many times have we heard on TV that the new “Stimulus Plan” may not be “perfect” but we need to do something?! YET THE SAME RULERS IN WASHINGTON WANT TO DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT HIRING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TAKING JOBS AWAY FROM AMERICAN WORKERS! Think of how the end of E-VERIFY will promote more illegals to flood our country to get jobs!

When so many Americans are unemployed, it is such a slap in the face that our own goverment wont help in stopping illegals from taking jobs.
The illegals assure the Democrats that we will be reduced to one party in the next election. They do not want to upset the illegal apple cart when they can gain their vote. That’s what is coming next…several initiatives that will eventually allow both illegals and possibly felons to vote. Thanks for writing.
