She’s an abomination. What I did read is that the parents of the poor little girl defended the teacher… probably because their child begged them not to complain and also they needed to protect her for the rest of the year. I hope she was at least put on remediation if she was not fired. This type of thing goes on in subtle ways and sometimes not so subtle ways all the time and when it does it sickens me. Public schools are inherently liberal institutions. Thanks for writing.

Even had the teacher’s claims been factually correct, which they are not, her behavior is inexcusable.
Any teacher who solicits information from a student concerning the student’s parent’s poltical beliefs, whether she then mocks those beliefs or not, should be terminated immediately. This is not a democrat or republican thing – it is a thing about intrusion of the Government into an area where it does not belong. A Teacher’s personal political conviction has no place in the classroom. If a teacher politicizes a classroom, they need to be terminated immediately.
